My Markets
My Markets
My markets is the page where you can see and manage your team and markets. Markets are called so rather than team because, in the agriculture industry, last-mile field officers keep moving between markets very frequently, yet the details of the markets is retained. Irrespective of whether any team member joins in a market, he will have access to whole customer details and the history of activities conducted. This will help the new person to start his activities easily. Also, individual markets are uniquely named and cannot be duplicated to avoid confusion.
For example, when there are 2 persons working in Hyderabad based on the team’s position it should be named as Hyderabad North and Hyderabad South.
Headquarters short form is HQ, also called Markets which are unique names of the area of operation of your team member. The headquarters (HQ) is unique, and duplicates cannot be created. Creating a unique headquarter name is crucial for any further analysis.
In a market, the team, villages, farmers, and retailers are all interconnected.
Create New Market?
1. Click on `Add Market` and provide the necessary information, such as employee designation, employee role, zone, region, headquarters, and map the villages either from the census data or your own master data. You can also skip this step and proceed with GPS location-based data.
2. For selecting a designation, the existing list of designations will be displayed. If the required designation is not available, click on Add Designation, enter the designation details, define the role, and submit it.
3. Once successfully added, the designation will appear in the list.
4. Role decides the interface to be assigned to an individual person which is also dependent on the designations. In Farminsta, we have 3 types of roles,
-- Field force - The last mile field officers who will primarily be involved in conducting daily farmer activities. This can be the direct or indirect employees of the organisation. Field force cannot have any reporting team below him.
-- Manager/field force - Manager/Field force are employees of the organisation who also conducts field activities and also responsible for managing a team of field officers under him.
-- Manager - Managers are employees of the organisation who are not directly involved in farmer activities but are responsible for managing the team and data.
5. Selecting an appropriate role is mandatory to define the level of access to be provided for the respective level of the team. You can define designation wise standard roles centrally under designation settings.
User Onboarding
1. Once the market is successfully created, click on the HQ name shown in the table under the active tab, then onboard the team member by selecting the Assign Member option.
2. When you click on it, a prompt will appear asking for the team member's mobile number and other details such as name, employee ID, email ID, date of birth, date of joining, salary, Aadhaar number, driving license, and bank details like account number and IFSC code.
3. After entering the information, click on Save and Approve. A default message will be sent to the user to complete their KYC verification. The page will then redirect to the Approvals page, where the KYC status of Aadhaar, driving license, and bank details will be displayed with either a tick or cross mark.
- A tick mark indicates the information is verified.
- A cross mark indicates the information is not verified.
4. If the details provided by the user are incorrect, there is an option to update the information and resend the verification request.
Once the team member is assigned, they can proceed with activity submissions if their role is 4 or 5. They can begin registering or profiling farmers and retailers, capturing their details.
All farmer and retailer data is linked to villages. As we profile the farmer, we map them to the state, district, taluk, and village, with the village being the end point.
Village Mapping
To assign villages to your team members in Farminsta, you can follow the below steps:
1. Go to the "My Markets" tab in the Farminsta platform.
2. Select the team member you want to allocate villages to. You can do this by clicking on the user's name or profile.
3. On the top right corner of the page, you will see an "Edit" option. Click on it to access the editing page for the user.
4. In the "Edit Team" section, you will find options for State, District, Taluk, and Villages. These options are loaded from census data or pre-defined country-level masters.
5. Select the desired State, District, Taluk, and Village from the dropdown. These options are available to choose from in the dropdown list.
6. After making your selections, click on the "Update User" option to complete the process. This will add the selected villages to the user's profile.
Additionally, you can view the villages that have already been assigned to a user in the user details page. This page will display a list of the assigned villages along with a "Remove" option. To remove a village from a user's profile, you can simply select the checkbox next to the village and click on the "Remove" button. This will remove the village from the user's profile, and they will no longer be responsible for tasks related to that village.
It is important to note that removing a village from a user's profile will not delete the village from your company's records. It will simply remove the association between the user and the village. If you want to add the village back to the user's profile, you can follow the steps outlined above to assign it to them again.
User Offboarding
If a person resigns from the market, you can remove them by selecting the market, clicking on the HQ name or edit option, choosing Resign Member, entering the resignation date, and then clicking Approve.
After resignation, the market status will automatically change to inactive.

Village Masters
Note: If Census masters are enabled, the dropdowns for state, district, taluk, and villages will display census data. If own masters are also uploaded, both datasets will be shown. If GPS-based location is enabled, this data will also appear in the dropdowns. To maintain data consistency, enable only one mode of village data.
To enable GPS-based location, it must be activated from the backend. Once enabled, data for state, district, taluk, and villages will be derived from the latitude and longitude points submitted by users. A cron job will then run to map these villages to the markets.
To upload your own masters (data missing in the census), follow these steps:
1. Navigate to Add Markets and click on Add Village Master. Download the template and provide the necessary information, such as state, state code, district, district code, taluk, taluk code, village, and village code. Upload the completed file and click Submit.
2. Alternatively, you can click on Add New, provide the necessary information, and click Submit.
Note: When using existing state, district, and taluk data to map a new village, ensure that the village code is unique. The state, district, and taluk codes can be used to create a unique location ID.
Once the data is added, it will appear in the dropdowns for village mapping. To map villages in bulk, use the Upload Villages option, provide the necessary information such as user email, state, district, taluk, and village codes. After filling in the template, upload the file and click Submit.
